Two years ago, I couldn't find a handbag that felt like me.
Not the logo. Not the status. I wanted something with a soul — a colour that meant something, a material I could feel good about, a piece made with the future in mind. I looked everywhere. And when I couldn't find it, I decided to make it. That's how MALNI began.
This week, MALNI arrived at Curate, Al Reem Mall, Abu Dhabi — our collection on the shelf, our name glowing above it, beside some of the most storied names in fashion. I stood in front of it and let myself feel the moment: my name, in lights, in Abu Dhabi.
Why this moment matters
I'm sharing it not just as a proud moment, but because I think it says something bigger. Conscious luxury is no longer the alternative in the corner. The woman choosing a bag today isn't only asking does it look beautiful? — she's asking what is it made of, and what did it cost to make it? MALNI is my answer to that question: responsible materials, and artisans paid fairly for the hand-work that gives each piece its soul.

There's a second thing I'm proud of. MALNI is made from Dubai — our bags hand-finished here in the UAE. The Gulf isn't only a market for luxury; it's becoming a maker of it. To bring a homegrown, conscious brand to the Curate wall in Abu Dhabi feels like a small proof of that, and it means everything to me.
